Wild Boar Scotch Eggs // By Colin Kearns

The Scotch egg—a soft-boiled egg, wrapped in sausage, dipped in breadcrumbs, then fried—is a beautiful thing. Award-winning chef April Bloomfield, of the Spotted Pig and the Breslin in New York City, adapted her killer Scotch egg recipe for us to include ground wild boar instead of domestic pork. You can enjoy this dish for breakfast, but we suggest waiting till dinnertime because it pairs perfectly with a cold beer.

Slice the Scotch eggs length-wise so the yolk can run a little bit and mix with the meat.

Ingredients
10 soft-boiled eggs (cooked...

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN REED DIFFUSER!!

These reed diffusers don’t need an open flame or a fancy heated stone to release their aroma around the place, just a nice looking bottle, some wooden skewers and a blend of your favourite oils.

Filling your home with natural fragrance does wonders for your heart and mind and makes your home just a little more cosy and comfy. Try to stick with natural essential oils as you will benefit from their therapeutic qualities as well.

YOU WILL NEED
5-6 thin bamboo skewers, with the sharp ends removed
50ml surgical spirit
50ml light oil (grapeseed, sweet almond,...

Here's a great recipe for white sandwich bread my wife found on the net, I'll link the original site later, just need to find the link.

Basically we have baked this bread a few times now and each time with a little bit of tinkering it's wife has improved every time. In a nutshell we found warming the milk helped and leaving the dough stand for longer improved the final loaf.

This is my latest paracord bracelet. It's a standard 2 colour Cobra / Solomon design but the weave is over a 4 strand central core with an adjustable stainless steel shackle buckle.
It's a 9 inch bracelet and approx 4ft of each colour was used.

This is a King Cobra paracord dog collar.

I used Black and Desert Camo paracord for the weave and 2no 25mm x 4mm fully welded O rings of marine grade.

So here I was thinking of what next to try out with paracord weaving.
Our JRT dogs collar is looking a bit tired so thought it make him a new one. (blame the younger pup for dragging him around by it lol)

Initially I wanted to make him a half choker version, partly so he has a bit of growth within it but the O rings I had were too large for the weave so I stripped it and used a Shockflex Contoured Side Release Buckle 22mm x 47mm with Black and Desert Camo paracord.
I also inserted a 20mm D ring for his lead.

The weave is called a Jagged Ladder Rack and I think for a 14 1/4 inch collar...

I made this bracelet the other night for my wife.

This bracelet uses the two-strand eternity / infinity knot and the solomon stitch.
I think the colours worked well oh and I used 15mm plastic contoured buckles with emergency whistle.

Recently decided to make something with paracord.
The one I made was a Solomon stitch adjustable paracord bracelet and is I under similar to the one worn in the 2015 movie Mad Max.

It's a nice stitch and looks good on the wrist.
Obviously paracord has great survival and outdoors use and this straightforward bracelet I think is just shy of 8ft, but I hope I don't have to strip it lol.

Multi Fuel Stove

I'm looking for an alternative fuel to use my Coleman stoves. Don't want to use unleaded as it clogs them up and the Coleman fuel is mega bucks

I've read that you can use Aspen 4t which is a refined clean petrol used for chainsaws and lawnmowers etc. ......anyone know where you can get it around the South Wales area?

Other option is a Naptha based panel wipe, used as a degreaser for paint spraying ......anyone tried this or know of a brand to use.
All I know is to use a Naptha based version......will try the motor factors I guess
